Maple Bedroom

Designer Inspiration
"The variation in colour, texture and grain are what gives the solid
Canadian maple its character and beauty. For this project I wanted to
keep the construction simple and obvious while drawing attention to
these natural qualities. On the drawer fronts, I integrated finger pulls
that stretch the entire width of the piece. When you open the drawers
and peer down the edge, you can see the handle detail machined precisely
into the solid wood face. While the form gives a nod to Denmark, I
think these honest and intentional details are what helps it find its
own uniquely Canadian aesthetic."
