EQ3 And FMJF Catalyze Social Change Through Art
Generation Art – Limited Edition Product Line in Support of Youth in the Arts
Since launching the first Generation Art Challenge in 2012, EQ3 has been committed to the Michaëlle Jean Foundation. A legacy project from former governor general the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean and her husband Jean-Daniel Lafond, FMJF supports underserved youth who use the arts to revitalize their communities and create a better society.
The first Generation Art collection launched in October 2011 expressing artists’ interpretation on the theme: Imagine…A better community. In addition to the exposure from the product line feature, each winner received networking opportunities as well as a trip for two to Toronto with three nights’ accommodation.
In the fall of 2014, EQ3 launched its second Generation Art capsule collection. For this edition, EQ3 asked Canadians of all ages to submit artwork that represents their personal expression of Canadian diversity. The designs of seven Canadians were selected and produced onto décor accessories including pillows, bean bags, ottomans, napkins, mugs and serving platters.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sale of the Generation Art collection will support FMJF’s youth initiatives
Generation Art is available for purchase at all EQ3 retail locations, as well as online here at EQ3.com
