Marimekko - Kurre Mug

The Oiva mug is made of white stoneware that is dishwasher, oven, microwave and freezer proof. Extending Aino-Maija Metsola’s tales from the forest, the Kurre (squirrel) pattern presents a lively brood of squirrels collecting and hiding nuts – squirrels were a common sight in the designer’s childhood yard. The initial artwork was created on paper using a brush and ink.
